Education Session | Executive Program | December 5th, 2025

Executive Program 2026 with Interim Superintendent Dr. Roderick Richmond at the Memphis Shelby County Schools Board of Education.

Our Executive Program cohort spent a powerful day at the Memphis Shelby County Schools Board of Education exploring education as a cornerstone of Memphis’ future — engaging with leaders who are shaping systems, policy, and opportunity for children and families across our city. The day featured insights from Dr. Roderick Richmond (EP2025), Interim Superintendent of Memphis-Shelby County Schools; Natalie McKinney (EP2019), Executive Director of Whole Child Strategies and Board Chair for MSCS; Brian Harris, Director of the Memphis Office of Youth Services; Terence Patterson (EP2021), Executive Director of the Memphis Education Fund; and Christopher Coleman (EP2022), Executive Director of Teach For America Memphis. From K–12 leadership and whole-child strategies to youth development and community partnerships, each conversation deepened our cohort’s understanding of how education intersects with equity, economic mobility, and long-term civic health. We are grateful to these leaders for their candor and commitment — and proud of this cohort for showing up with curiosity, thoughtfulness, and a shared responsibility to lead Memphis forward. Thank you Dr. Richmond and the MSCS team for hosting us!
