Ready to use your time, talent, treasure, and ties in support of a healthy, thriving Memphis?
FastTrack Program
The FastTrack Program is designed for emerging and mid-level professionals who are ready to elevate their leadership and deepen their civic engagement in Memphis. Throughout the program, participants explore critical issues shaping the city, connect with influential community and business leaders, and gain the tools to lead with purpose and impact. Each participant builds a personalized Civic Leadership Plan to guide their ongoing growth and completes a Community Service project that puts their leadership into action by addressing a real community need. Through interactive sessions, collaborative learning, and hands-on experience, FastTrack participants strengthen their leadership capacity, expand their professional networks, and join a powerful community of changemakers dedicated to building a better Memphis.
Why FastTrack?
“As an emerging leader, FastTrack gave me exactly what I needed: exposure to local issues, access to experienced mentors, and a space to discover how I can make an impact. The program helped me bridge the gap between passion and purpose, and I now feel ready to take the next step in my leadership journey.”

“FastTrack gave me the confidence to see myself as a civic leader, not just a professional in my field. The sessions pushed me out of my comfort zone and connected me to a network of peers who genuinely care about making Memphis better. I left the program with lifelong friends, mentors, and a clear plan for how to lead change in my community.”

FastTrack Overview
The Leadership Memphis FastTrack Program is a dynamic 10-week leadership experience offered in both the spring and fall, designed for emerging and mid-level professionals who want to accelerate their leadership journey and deepen their civic engagement in Memphis. For nearly five decades, Leadership Memphis has equipped leaders across every sector to drive meaningful change, and FastTrack continues this legacy by preparing the next generation of changemakers.
Each cohort meets weekly from 6:00–8:00 PM, with dinner served from 5:30–6:00 PM to foster connection and community among participants. Throughout the program, participants engage in interactive sessions, workshops, and panels led by civic leaders, nonprofit innovators, and industry experts. Sessions explore leadership development, civic responsibility, and the key issues shaping Memphis today, offering participants a deeper understanding of the systems, assets, and challenges that define our community.
Participants also develop a personalized Civic Leadership Plan that clarifies their purpose, strengths, and long-term commitment to service. Working within an assigned group, cohort members complete a Community Service Project that applies their learning to a real community need and makes a tangible impact in partnership with local nonprofits.
FastTrack includes meaningful opportunities for hands-on service. Fall participants engage in 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, Make A Difference Week, and Family Volunteer Week. Spring participants contribute through MLK Days of Service and Volunteer Appreciation Month. Cohort members also participate in Alumni Leadership Events throughout the year, including the Multicultural Breakfast, Leadership & Volunteer Awards Gala, Leadership & Service Summit, and the Alumni Holiday Party.
Tuition for FastTrack is $1,995, with payment plans and need-based scholarships (up to $500) available. Upon completion, graduates join the prestigious Leadership Memphis Alumni Network, a 4,300-member community of CEOs, public officials, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, and grassroots organizers committed to strengthening Memphis.
