Duration:                    13 Days over a Nine-month period

Tuition:                       $3,950 (Limited Scholarships Available)

Enrollment:                 Application and admission committee selection process.

The Leadership Memphis Executive Program is for proven leaders, those who are the decision-makers, influencers and connectors across different community sectors and can use their increased knowledge, experiences and relationships to be more effective community leaders.

The Executive Program enrolls 80 individuals each year to inform, involve and inspire them toward more effective community leadership.  Every effort is made to craft a class that reflects the community - selecting participants who represent a balanced class with gender and ethnicity, as well as different sectors of the community - business, nonprofit, government, academic, faith, neighborhood and others.

The Executive Program begins in September and ends in May.  During the nine-month program, participants spend a total of 13 days together on a challenging and informative curriculum.

The curriculum includes three days and two nights in September at Team Trek in Heber Springs, Arkansas, learning leadership and team building.  Time is spent exploring the sameness in people, why that is important, and how it can be used to be a more effective leader.  In October, two days are spent learning about race relations and inclusivity - learning to appreciate the differences in people, why that is important, and how it can be used to be a more effective leader.

From November thru April, one day per month is spent working with Smart City Consulting as they ask the opening question, "What Makes A Great City?" and end with the question, "What Is My Role In Making Memphis Great?"  During this phase of the Executive Program, local community leaders speak to the class, as do national experts and guests.  Several national experts will appear in person, and additional guests will appear via videoconference.  The class will also be divided into teams to develop a Action Hero project which is completed as the program draws to a close in April.

Each year, Leadership Memphis accepts applications from individuals seeking admission into the Executive Program.  It is expected that those who are approved by the admissions committee and who graduate from the nine-month program will be committed to a lifetime of continuous learning and service to the community.  Exactly how graduates do so is left to them.

For those who apply to participate in the Executive Program, a more detailed calendar and curriculum is available.  Information about tuition, scholarships, and other program information is available, as well.
