Common Ground – is an initiative that brings together diverse groups of community residents to discuss race relations. Over a period of weeks, small groups meet with a trained facilitator that leads the group in an in-depth, curriculum-based discussion on race. Participants of the program have an open forum to listen and freely share their thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions. As a result, they learn more about themselves and others, building trust within our communities and developing relationships across racial divides. Each Common Ground semester ends with individuals and groups committing to take action - where talk turns into measurable actions. Common Ground needs you. We need a diverse group of volunteer facilitators and participants.
