Job Title: Education and Outreach Coordinator
Location: 500 North Pine Lake Drive
DESCRIPTION
The Education and Outreach Coordinator is a new position and will report to the Deputy Director of SFPC. This mid-level position will coordinate existing Park programs and help with the development and coordination of new education programming focused on the core areas of environmental education, healthy families and youth development. This position will also coordinate outreach programs for Shelby Farms Park and Shelby Farms Greenline neighbors and other stakeholders. Download job description here.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years experience in non-profit education and outreach programming.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with board members and volunteers
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Team oriented, flexible, positive, and personable
- A strong understanding of and commitment to the mission and vision of Shelby County Parks Conservancy
- Knowledge of basic computer applications, including Word and Excel
